1950s Home Renovation & Extension
This renovation and extension project honours the legacy of the home’s original 1950s owner. Our clients were passionate about preserving the charm and character of the original structure, so we thoughtfully retained key features such as the original joinery units, front door colour, timber flooring, and brickwork.
The existing home was completely stripped back, allowing us to install both external and internal membranes—bringing the home close to Retrofit standard. This significantly improves the home’s energy efficiency, thermal performance, and overall comfort. High-performance UPVC windows were installed throughout, further contributing to a healthier and more sustainable indoor environment.
As a nod to the home’s heritage, the original brickwork was carefully demolished, cleaned, and reinstated in the new extension—blending the old with the new in a seamless and respectful way.
